Guided Notes
Key concepts students will learn:
- •
One activity to help children blend CVC words involves using sound boxes to isolate each individual sound before blending them together.
- •
When introducing new words, keep the middle and ending sounds the same, as the vowel sound can be tricky for students.
- •
Using letter cards, start with two sounds, a vowel and a consonant, and have students tap and move them closer together until they can blend the sounds.
