Guided Notes
Key concepts students will learn:
- •
The information-processing model proposes that our brains are similar to computers, where we receive input, process it, and output decisions.
- •
Sensory memory is a temporary register for incoming information, with iconic memory for visual input lasting less than half a second and echoic memory for auditory input lasting three to four seconds.
- •
Explicit or declarative memory includes semantic memory for facts and episodic memory for events, while implicit or non-declarative memory includes procedural memory and priming.
