What are the different forms of precipitation? Give an example of a weather condition that causes each form.

The different forms of precipitation are rain, snow, sleet, and hail. Rain occurs when the air temperature is above freezing. Snow occurs when the air temperature is below freezing. Sleet occurs when rain falls through a layer of freezing air. Hail forms in thunderstorms.
