Guided Notes
Key concepts students will learn:
- •
When factoring special case polynomials, remember that a² - b² can be factored into (a + b)(a - b).
- •
A polynomial in the form a² + 2ab + b² can be factored into (a + b)² and a polynomial in the form a² - 2ab + b² can be factored into (a - b)².
- •
When factoring, if you get confused using 'a' in the formula and 'a' in your polynomial, use subscripts to keep them separate or change the variable.
