I can multiply decimals to the hundredths place using models or strategies.

Key Concepts

When multiplying decimals, first line up the numbers to the right side, ignoring the decimal points initially.

After multiplying as if the numbers are whole numbers, count the total number of decimal places in the original problem.

Move the decimal point in your answer from the right to the left the same number of places as you counted in the original problem.
