Subtracting Large Numbers with Regrouping
4th Grade•25 minutes
Learning Objective
I can subtract 5-digit and 6-digit numbers with regrouping.
Key Concepts
When subtracting large numbers, it is important to line up the places before subtracting.
Always start with the furthest place to the right, which is the ones place when subtracting whole numbers.
When you borrow, you are borrowing from the place to the left, and you are technically borrowing 10 from the place value to the left.
