Let's learn to read! We can put sounds together. This is called blending. We will blend sounds to read words.

Look at this word: cat. What sounds do you hear? /c/ /a/ /t/. Say each sound. Now, let’s blend them! /c-a-t/. Cat! You did it!

Let's try another one. Look at this word: dog. What sounds do you hear? /d/ /o/ /g/. Say each sound. Now, let’s blend them! /d-o-g/. Dog! Great job!
