The Earth is always spinning. As it spins, different parts of the Earth face the sun, which creates day. The parts facing away from the sun experience night.

If Earth suddenly stopped rotating, what would happen to day and night?

One side of Earth would have constant daylight, and the other side would have constant darkness.
