Exploring Zones of Regulation
Learning Objective
I can identify different feelings and the Zones of Regulation they belong to.
Key Concepts
The Zones of Regulation help us identify our feelings and give us the ability to take control of them.
The green zone is when you're feeling happy, focused, calm, and proud, while the yellow zone is when you're feeling overwhelmed, worried, frustrated, silly, or excited.
When in the red zone, the amygdala is in overdrive, making it hard to calm down, but using calming strategies can help guide you back to the green zone.
