Singular and Plural Nouns | Learn the Rules to Make Plurals
Guided Notes
3 key concepts
- 1
To make most nouns plural, you simply add an -s to the end of the word.
- 2
If a word ends in ch, sh, s, x, or z, add an -es to make it plural, but if the -ch sounds like a -k, just add an -s.
- 3
If a word ends in a consonant and -y, change the -y to an -i and add -es, but if there is a vowel before the -y, just add an -s.
