Polynomial Classification
Learning Objective
I can classify polynomials by degree and number of terms.
Key Concepts
A term is a number, a variable, or a product of numbers and variables, and polynomials are named based on the number of terms in the expression.
A monomial has one term, a binomial has two terms, and a trinomial has three terms.
To evaluate a polynomial, substitute the given value for the variable and then simplify using the order of operations.
