Learning Objective

I can sign common nouns in their plural form using American Sign Language (ASL).

  • 1

In ASL, plurality is shown by repeating the sign, not by adding an "S" as in English.

  • 2

To indicate several books, you can repeat the sign for BOOK or show several books on a shelf.

  • 3

To emphasize meeting multiple people, sign MEET more than once, as in "MEETING-MANY-PEOPLE".
