    Tobacco contains many harmful chemicals, including a dangerous drug called nicotine, tar (used to pave roads), carbon monoxide (from car exhaust), and methanol (used in rocket fuel).

    Nicotine causes major changes in the flow of feel-good chemicals in the brain, and over time, tobacco use can cause cancer, severe respiratory problems, heart disease, heart attack, or stroke.
