Writing Letters and Spaces
Do you sometimes mix up letters like b and d? Or p and q? Many kids do this when they are learning to write. It is a normal part of growing up. Sometimes, words also get too close together or too far apart. This can make your writing hard to read.
For b and d, you can make a "bed" with your hands. Your left hand makes the "b" and your right hand makes the "d." This helps your brain remember which way each letter faces. You can also say the letter sound as you write it. This helps connect the sound to the shape.
For spacing, try using your finger. After you write a word, put one finger down. Then start the next word after your finger. This makes sure your words have just enough space. You can also use a popsicle stick for spacing. Practicing these tricks helps your writing look neat. Soon, your letters will be correct and your words will have good spaces.
